Tax Tiers Screen

Use this screen to view, add, modify, or delete tax rates and tax tiers.

Description of fields on the screen

Field Label	Description
Add Table	Select this option to create a new Vehicle Rate Table. This option is available in all of the Rate screens excluding the Paintless Dent Repair screen.
Delete Table	Select the rate table from the Rate Table droplist, and then select this option to delete the rate table you are viewing. This option is available in all of the Rate screens excluding the Paintless Dent Repair screen.
Table Type	When enabled, select the table type from the droplist. This option is available in all of the Rate screens excluding the Paintless Dent Repair screen.
Rate Table	Use this option to select a rate table from the list. This option is available in all of the Rate screens excluding the Paintless Dent Repair screen.
Default	This option allows you to set the rate table you are viewing as the default rate table. This option is available in all of the Rate screens excluding the Paintless Dent Repair screen.
Use Tiered Tax	Select this option creates a tax tier for the selected tax category.
Taxes	This is the screen section that displays the tax types that can be applied in the table.
Tax Type	The tax type that the program uses is displayed in this column.
Apply Tax	When checked, tax is applied to the selected tax type.
Tax Tiers	This is the name of the pane on this screen, and displays the tax tier information for the selected tax type.
Add Tax Tier	Select this option to add a tax tier record to the selected tax type.
Edit Tax Tier	Selecting this option allows you to edit the selected tax tier.
Delete Tax Tier	This option deletes the selected tax tier record.
Bottom $	This value establishes the bottom (floor) of the dollar range to which the tax Rate and flat Surcharge will apply. Each tier must have a different bottom figure.
Rate %	This value is the percentage that applies to all figures that fall between the bottom for this tier and the next highest bottom.
Surcharge $	This value is the flat charge that applies to all figures that fall between the bottom for this tier and the next highest bottom.
